Essay

In the dissertation work the problems of the improvement of the diagnostics efficacy and treatment of the patients with chronic catarrhal sinusitis in Epstein-Barr viral infection were investigated. The high level of infection of patients with chronic catarrhal sinusitis in Epstein-Barr viral infection was proved by methods of polymerase chain reaction and immunoenzymatik analysis. It was established that EBV-infection influences much upon clinical picture and the course of the given disease. The main disorders in the systemic immunity of patients with chronic catarrhal sinusitis in EBV-infection are: the decrease large granulocytes and T-lymphocytes, decrease of cytolitic activity of natural cytotoxic cells and the increase of gama-interferon concentration. The main disorders of the local immunity are the decrease of the sIgA concentration in the simultaneous increase of the anti-inflammatory cytokines and monocytes level. The experimental investigations have proved the strongest effect of groprhynozyne and dibazol in vitro due to positive influences on the expression of different antigens and upon the normalization of the immunocompetent cell functions, especially that which play an important role in the antiviral immunity. The use of this immunomodulators in the complex treatment of patient with chronic catarrhal sinusitis in EBV-infection showed satisfactory therapeutic efficacy.
