Essay

In the investigation contained in the Thesis, the nature of procurement activities carried out by any trade firm is addressed, the fundamental theoretical principles of trade firm purchase activities are systematized, and the methodological approaches for assessment of trade firm purchase activities are developed. The term "procurement management" is interpreted more accurately and in depth. The models of retail firm procurement management and the system of indicators for assessment referring to such planes as "performance", "effectiveness" and "management quality" are substantiated. The procurement management system currently employed by the retail firms in Ukraine is evaluated using the system of assessment developed and presented in the paper. The methodological approaches to develop procurement budgets of retail firms, multi-criterion assessment of value represented by potential suppliers and calculation of the maximum procurement price limits for goods are submitted
