Kruglova L. The publication of the history of Ukraine sources in the historical journal "Readings in the Historical Society of Chronicler Nestor" (1879-1914).

The dissertation analyses the archaeographical activities of the historical journal "Readings in the Historical Society of Chronicler Nestor" (1879-1914), the Scientific Society of Chronicler Nestor publication. The following written sources on the history of Ukraine have been researched in the dissertation: documentary publications on the socio-economic and political history, the history of the church and culture, as well as narrative sources of religious and secular nature.The research has established the principles and methods of archaeograpohical processing the sources in RNCHS; has clarified the peculiarities of sources publication, has determined the principles of their selection and the thematic focus.The role of the journal in the development process and the formation of Ukrainian Archaeography at the end of the XIX and the turn of the XX centuries, its role in the scientific and cultural life of Ukraine of that period and contribution to the expansion of Ukrainian history source base have been highlighted in the research on the basis of a wide range of archival and published sources.
