Essay

The dissertation focuses on a study of the Russian history science conceptions concerning some aspects of the Ruin period of Hetmanship on the background of the historiography material. In the Russian history till the 1917th revolution the above-mentioned period is used to be named "the Russia Minor Rebel". The profound historiography analyses of the research studies of A.Vostokov, V.Einghorn, V.Ikonnikov, D.Ilovayski, G.Karpov, V.Kluchevsky, P.Matveyev, V.Miakotin, M.Pokrovsky, I.Rozenfeld, V.Sergeevich, S.Soloviev and others gives the floor to the consideration of the problems concerning the factors that caused the Ruin, the Vyghotsky Hetmanship, the events of civil struggle and outside invention to Ukraine during the period of the end of 50th - beginning of 60th of XVII century, the Andrusovsky Agreement, its importance, the struggle for Ukraine in 1668-1676, the P.Doroshenko Hetmanship, the I.Samoylovich Hetmanship, the first years of I.Mazepa Hetmanship and the consequences of the Ruin. The results of the research allow to cast light upon some important historic disputable issues and to evaluate the contribution of Russian historic science into the Ruin research.
