Essay

Object - stable angina (SA), subclinical hypothyroidism (SH), menopause; purpose - improvement of the diagnostic and treatment efficacy of patients with SA and SH in menopause by means of pituitary and thyroid glands activity, lipid metabolism, haemostasis evaluation and methods of its correction; methods - clinical, laboratory (haemostasis system, blood lipid profile, C-reactive protein); radioimmunoassay (gonadotropins, thyroid hormones); functional (ECG, Echo-CG); statistical; result - elaboration of the approach to diagnostics and treatment of patients with SA and SH in menopause based on assessment of the pathogenic impact of the pituitary-thyroid, lipid metabolism and haemostasis impairment; novelty - imbalance of the gonadotropin regulation, atherogenic changes of the lipid metabolism, reliable elevation of triglyceride's level, impairment of the vascular-platelet haemostatic link, fibrinogen and C-reactive protein elevation, suppressed antithrombin III and fibrinolytic activity related to subclinical hypothyroidism were established. Complex treatment with administration of small dosed L-thyroxin promotes lipid lowering changes, resulting in the reduction of thrombotic complications risk due to the decrease of platelet aggregation ability, fibrinogen and C-reactive protein levels, increase of antithrombin III and fibrinolytic activity, favoring the life-quality improvement due to climacteric and angina symptoms reduction in menopausal women with stable angina and subclinical hypothyroidism; implemented into practice of healthcare settings of Ukraine, into scientific and educational process of two medical universities of Ukraine; branch - medicine.
