Essay

The thesis is devoted to the substantiation of the theory of domra performance in Slobozhanshchyna (Eastern Ukraine) based on the systematization of its unique historical experience in the context of professional music culture of Ukraine.Music writing connections between such prominent Kharkiv school domrists of the second part of the XX century as M. Lysenko, F. Korovay, B. Mikheyev with the composers of Slobozhanshchyna were analyzed. The consistent analysis of scantily known musical compositions by D. Klebanov, I. Kovach, V. Podgorny, B. Miheyev was made. The prominent role of B. Mikheyev, one of the present leaders of Kharkiv domra school, was indicated. The principles of his performance style were shown.
