Essay

Some essential semantic properties like paradigmatic relations, syntagmatic ties and epidigmatic characteristics are in the focus of the investigation. The research has been conducted on the basis of explanatory dictionaries and the analysis of seme frequency in texts. The adjectives compose a separate lexico-semantic group of polysemous words with generalized valuation ability. Their inner-group structure as a nucleus, basic corpus and periphery was singled out. Some psycho-linguistic aspects and philosophy notion influencing the generalized valuation meaning "particular" are viewed in the work too.
