Rohovyi V. Newspapers "Ukrainian Word" and "New Ukrainian Word" as a source from history of Ukraine of the period of the Second World War (october 1941 - september 1943).

In the dissertation the newspaper "Ukrainian Word" and "New Ukrainian Word" as a historical source are considered. It is investigated history of the newspaper, circumstance of their edition. The newspaper position to invaders and their policy is found out. The main attention is given illumination of reliability of the facts which are submitted by journalists on pages of newspapers. The illumination condition on pages of newspapers of a course of military actions on fronts of the Second World War, a political, social and economic life, activity cultural, educational and sports institutions, a spiritual life is analysed. It is displayed, that newspapers "Ukrainian Word" and " New Ukrainian Word" can be used for studying above questions under condition of the critical relation to them and comparison of the information of newspapers with other sources
