Kononenko E. Treatment of patients with acute exacerbations of chronic purulent rhinosinusitis using anti-inflammatory drug and immunomodulator

The dissertation work is devoted to grounding the therapy for patients with acute exacerbations of chronic purulent rhinosinusitis (CPRS) using combined fen-spiride (per os) and dibazolum (local) administration. The data given in the work were obtained in the observation on 120 patients with CPRS and 21 healthy people. Experimental data were obtained in the observation on 30 rats of the "Wistar" breed line. In conditions of animal testing the combined administration of fenspiride and dibazolum showed positive effect on induced infectious inflammation parameters consisting in trophism normalization and improvement of tissue reparation in nasal cavity mucous membrane structures. Including fenspiride and dibazolum in combined therapy of patients with acute exacerbations of CPRS helped to resolve clinical symptoms more quickly and also allowed to decrease the risk of development of inflammatory diseases of upper respi-ratory tract within a year after the course of treatment.
