Essay

The dissertation is devoted to study of the coordination-chemical and spectral-luminescent properties of heteronuclear lanthanide complexes of germanium (IV), tin (IV) and bismuth (III) with di- and polyamine complexones: ethylenediamine-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetic, trans-1,2-cyclohexane-diamine-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetic, 1,3-diamino-2-hydroxypropane-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetic, ethylene-glycole-bis(2-aminoethyl)-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetic, diethylenetriamine-N,N,N',N'',N''-pentaacetic and triethylenetetraamine-N,N,N',N'',N''',N'''-hexaacetic acids. The complexes were identified and characterized by elemental and X-ray diffraction analysis, thermogravimetry, PMR, IR-absorption- and fluorescent spectroscopy, as well as the methods of molecular mechanics. The structures of the 3 heteronuclear Ln(III)-Ge(IV) compounds have been determined by X-ray crystallography. 4f-Luminescence of Sm(III), Eu(III), Tb(III) and Dy(III) in heteronuclear complexes with Ge(IV) and Sn(IV), and Nd(III) and Yb(III) in complexes with Bi(III) was established for the first time. The influence of p-metal on the radiative processes of Ln(III) ions, which is in a certain mode of their structure organization (change in the distance between the lanthanide ions and ligand donor centers, the number of coordinated water molecules, lowering of the triplet level of the ligand) in the case of germanium- and tin-containing complexes, and in p-f-excitation energy transfer on Ln(III) radiative levels, have been determined.
