Essay

Thesis is dedicated to the development of theoretical fundamentals of airfield rigid pavements design under impact of main landing gears of super-heavy aircrafts with accounting of tensile stress at the top of slab. It is established that at design of airfield rigid pavements under aircrafts of Airbus 380 type, it is necessary to consider tensile stresses at the bottom and top of slab. Formulas for calculation of coverages to failure by criteria of tensile stress at the top of slab were obtained. The using of research results will have to improve airfield rigid pavements design science and increase pavement life.
