Orlenko V. State and law views of O. D. Gradovsky

The dissertation is dedicated to the problem of adequate evaluation of O. D. Gradovsky state and law views and his contribution to the development of nature and world jurisprudence. Complex analyses of his scientific heritage is shown in the dissertation. In the research the vital and creative way of O. D. Gradovsky was reconstructed; some unknown facts of his biography were added. B The results of this research were conclusions about O. D. Gradovsky's attempt to reconcile and to synthezed traditional conservative views on state with liberal and social-democratic opinions. It is also determined that scientist's attention was paid to such important institutions rule-of-law state as parliamentarism, opposition, social guarantees, local self-government, separation of powers and so on. In dissertation are reviewed the ideas concerning public, political, ideological and legal life of Ukrainian state.
