Essay

The thesis is devoted to analytical investigation of stress-strain state, stability and behavior of long flexible shallow noncircular cylindrical shells with typical conditions of edge fixing in prebuckling and postbuckling ranges of deformation. The investigated problems concern nonlinear deformation of long flexible shallow noncircular cylindrical shells under the different conditions of fixing of longitudinal edges. An exact analytical solutions of the problems have been developed. The critical values of loading that correspond to buckling conditions have been determined.
