Object: the neo-Romantic prose by J.Conrad,Yu.Janowskyi,V.Vynnychenko, Lesya Ukrainka, F.Dostoevsky. The aim: is to analyze the forms of the presence of the Holy Scriptures in the writings by J.Conrad and Yu.Janowskyi, to identify general conformities of poetic manner and their fictional world, peculiarities of dialogue and intertexual connections between them. Methods: observation, analysis, synthesis and systematization of the material have been used in the thesis. The practical significance: of the work is caused by the possibility of using the obtained results in the teaching of standard and special high school courses in comparative literature, history of Ukrainian literature, foreign literature.
