The thesis is devoted to the complex investigation of the development civilization's theory in modern Ukrainian historiography. On the basis of the analysis of the scientific works and the wide variety of sources there were analyzed specialties civilization's theory to the World history and the history of Ukraine. Main opinion is devoted to the explanation of social-cultural identify of Ukrainian identity.
