Chudnovets I. Customs and tariff regulation of meat import in Ukraine

The thesis is devoted to the substantiation of theoretical principles of optimization of tariff regulation system of import of goods and also to the development of the practical recommendations in relations to improvement of regulation process of meat import to Ukraine. The economic content of tariff and systematization of its functions are made more accurate. Also the place of tariff regulation at the foreign trade policy system of state is defined. The historical preconditions of development of Ukrainian custom policy are reviewed. The reasons of increasing of meat import to Ukraine at last years are defined. The changes of import tariffs on traditional species of meat are analyzed. The method of definition of optimal volume of import tariff is developed. The real value of optimal import tariff on beef, pork, poultry and mutton is determined. The algorithm of determination of import meat value is formed and it makes the opportunity to account the result index under different conditions of financial situation in Ukraine. The non-efficiency of tariff regulation in context of balancing the domestic meat market in real conditions is evidenced. Also it is recommended to intensify of technical barriers meaning in the import regulation system to improvement national welfare.
