Gorbachova O. Clinical course peculiarities and diabetic retinopathy treatment in the participants-liquidation of the consequences after Gernobyl Nuclear Power Station accident.

Object: diabetic retinopathy. Purpose: to increasing effectiveness of diabetic retinopathy treatment in the participants-liquidation of the crash consequences at Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station. Methods: standart ophthalmological, functional, phosphen, direct ophthalmoscope, electrophysiological rates, microcirculation and eye haemodynamics, statistica; slit-lamp, makulotest, reograph. Early beginning and accelerated progress of diabetic retinopathy and its proliferative forms among the participants-liquidation of the crash consequences at CNPS in comparison. The functional and diagnostic complex of examination for the clinical check-up, control and treatment by using nicergolin during the clinical course was offered. The main results of the work are adopted in ophthalmological department of Kharkov Regional clinical hospital, Regional Specialized Health Centre of Radiation of Protection of Population, department of ophthalmological Kharkiv National Medical University and Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.
