The dissertation contain complex historical and low investigation of the origin, development and activity of church court as one of the types of courts in Kievan Rus in X - first half of the XIV centuries in main aspects: investigation of the basic sources of law, jurisdiction, judicial church system, legal procedure of church court. The modern point of view of the church authority, judicial powers, and the history of origin and development of the church court are considered. It is analyzed the essences of the church court, the main sources of law, and. The jurisdictional extend of the church court in Kievan Rus is described. The detailed characteristic of judicial instances, court proceeding and system of penalties are given.
