Тhe dissertation is devoted to criminological description and prevention extortions connected with violence in Ukraine. The paper establishes their criminological and criminal description, person of extortioner, the crimes connected with physical violence, reasons and terms of perpetration of this type of crimes, person of a victim. It was offered the complex of measures of prevention of extortions; speak out recommendations from activation of movement of subjects their prevention; expressed suggestion in relation to perfection of current legislation.
