Blashchuk S. "Pravda Ruskaia" in Soviet historiography (1920's - 1st half of 1960's).

The subject of the dissertation is the historiographical process of study and edition of the ancient Russian legal source - "Pravda Ruskaia" in the context of the development of the historical science in the USSR in the 1920's - 1st half of 1960's. The research is based upon a large amount of archive materials, which wasn't or almost wasn't utilized previously and some of which is being introduced to the scientific service for the first time. The author analyses the state of the historical science and educational system of the period, political and ideological factors which led to the change in paradigm of historical studies in the USSR in the 1930's as well as the reasons for resumption studies of the Kiev Russia history. The research shows the work of the Sub-Committee for the preparation for "Pravda Ruskaia" edition under the Archeographic Committee of the Academy of Science of the USRR as well as the process of the preparation of the academic edition under the leadership of the Academician B. Grekov.
