Essay

The subject of research is devoted to studying relations between civil and government institutions. New actuality they get in new conditions and with the advent of global conflicts. The main grounds of this are event of 9/11/2001, military action by coalition in Iraq, explosions in London (7-th July 2005). It is necessary to research, how information used mass media and what information was truthful, need. Contemporary information conflicts are caused by mass media and government. Researches made before 2000 are rather old. Policy always develops and influences geo-politic interest. Mass media plays the main role in this process. The main aim of Dissertation - conduct scientific research of peculiar properties politic and information progress and describe contemporary information conflicts, their character, basis and settlement ways. In this context, Author research relations character between foreign policy, which government provide, and editorial policy in famous mass-media. Also, the aim is to characterize peculiarity of political relations between government and mass-media. Only a strong system with internal checks and balances on mainstream media will protect the public interest. Diversity of news sources (both foreign and domestic) and reporters with tenure rights are needed in the media today to counterbalance government power and the media interest.
