The object of research is the process of automating the integration of mathematical models of ecological processes and methods for processing environmental data in geographic information systems for monitoring of surface waters. The study aims to expand the analytical capacity and accelerating the processing of environmental data in geographic information systems for monitoring of surface waters. The studies used such methods: mathematical modeling techniques, methods, relational database theory and interpolation techniques of GIS technologies, methods of object-oriented programming. Scientific novelty of the results: information technology, first developed by the integration of mathematical models in geographic information systems (GIS) for monitoring surface water, allowing them to accelerate the integration and enhance the analytical capabilities of GIS through specialized computer packages, improved ordering parameters of mathematical models, information databases and GIS data , with the only approach that has allowed to establish a correspondence between these types of data and develop a transitional model from the mathematical representation of geographical information, we propose a new method for automated synthesis of databases and spatial features of geographic information system to store parameters of mathematical models of processes of change in the state of these objects. The practical significance of the results is that the developed information technology can be widely used in information systems, monitoring and decision support for integrated water resources management. Also, the possible use of this technology organizations that perform calculations of maximum permissible discharges (GDS) and the development of projects temporarily agreed discharges (TPN) for enterprises and institutions. Information technologies provide enhanced analytical capabilities geographic information systems by automating the integration of mathematical models to GIS monitoring of surface waters. The level of implementation - the results of this work were used during the development of the information systems for decision making support for water management in such river basins as Southern Boog, Dniester, Tisza, Seversky Donets, Kalmius, Pripyat, information systems for monitoring of surface-waters of the Vinnytsia and Lviv oblasts, which are introduced in more then 20 state institutions, including in the proper basin water resources managements and oblasts water management bodies of Ukraine. Also, the results have been implemented in the educational process modeling and monitoring of the department of complex systems. Spheres and sectors of use: mathematical modeling of aquatic ecosystems, integrated water resources management.
