Sheveliyk V. Contrastive semantics of the phraseological units with the somatic component: linguistic and cultural approach (on the material of the Spanish and Ukrainian languages)

The thesis for the Candidate degree in Philology generalizes linguistic and cultural fundamentals of analysis of the contrastive semantics of phraseological units with the somatic component in distant languages, develops and tests the methods (principles and criteria) of comparison of Spanish and Ukrainian phraseological units with the somatic component. The dissertation also classifies the units under analysis according to their semiotic models and highlights the degree of the efficiency of using these models in Spanish and Ukrainian; the paper defines the nuclear versus peripheral structural organization of the phraseological somatic component in the spheres of relevant components of the above-mentioned languages; outlines the structure of the archetype universal, ethnic and cultural models of the Spanish and Ukrainian proverbs with the somatic component by method of their semantic reconstruction and original.
