Sementsova O. Тhe economic aspects of adaptation of suburban passenger railway transport to the market environment

Object - economic processes of functioning of Ukrainian passenger suburban traffic in competitive environment. Objective - explanation of theoretical basis, development of methodical propositions of creating conditions for improvement of economic state of passenger suburban traffic of Ukraine, its adaptation to market methods of management. Methods - didactic, system approach, deductive, logical analyses, econometric modeling, gradual approximation, scientific "reverse" negation. Novelty - for the first time method of definition of highest level of tariff corridor on passenger suburban traffic has been developed, which make it possible to account the conditions of competitive market and transportation quality. Results - have been improved: method of definition of prime cost and operating costs of transportations by suburban railway traffic, which make it possible to define the cost of transportation of a passenger on certain sector of certain route as opposed to existing method, which is grounded on average network analyses, method of definition of flexible tariffs on suburban railway traffic, which as opposed to existing zone method make it possible to set the price of transportations taking into account conditions of competitive environment on certain routes; methodical approaches to definition of transportation differential payment system in suburban railway traffic of certain classes of passengers of preferential contingent according to their incomes which enable to reduce losses of transportations of preferential passengers by suburban traffic.
