The thesis is devoted to investigation of theoretical basis of Ukrainian credit cooperation system, elaboration of practical recommendations on the security of its financial stability and directions of further development.For the purpose of risk mitigation of credit unions functioning, the need for improvement of financial norms for credit unions and the need for implementation of internal system of risk administration for credit unions are proven. For the purpose of providing members of credit unions with visual information on the financial status of credit unions, the ranking model for credit unions based on financial indicators is suggested.
