Pilyukov Y. Application of Information Systems in Forensic Science Service Subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine

The thesis is dedicated to the legal, organizational, technical and criminalistics problems of Information Technologies Application for forensic science examination at its present stage. The author performs the analysis of definition contents 'Information Systems' in scientific literature, reviews the types of Information Systems and their current state, formulates the concepts of Information Systems, defines their structure. The information structure of Forensic Science Service subdivisions is exposed. The present state and prospects for the implementation and development of information technologies in the activity of Forensic Science Service are considered. There are revealed and substantiated technical and criminalistics problems of Information Technologies Application for forensic science examination. The main orientations of Information Systems application in Forensic Science Service subdivisions are determined on the basis of obtained data summarizing and materials of forensic science practice, the analysis of practice in Forensic Science Service and Justice, forensic science experts' questionnaires and literature sources. Theoretical and applied science issues concerning the information and analytic maintenance in administration of Forensic Science Service subdivisions are researched.
