In dissertation work the decided is important a task is related to the choice and ground of type and will make the towed links which the necessary indexes of maneuverability and firmness of motion of three-unit lorry convoys of different layout charts are provided for. The developed is generalized mathematical model of dynamics of the guided motion of three-unit lorry convoys. It is show that on the indexes of maneuverability a three-unit lorry convoy as "B-Double" yield to the three-unit saddle-towed lorry convoy, and on the indexes of firmness in the different modes of motion - the best in comparing to the lorry convoys of the second layout charts. Experimental researches of three-unit lorry convoys are confirm adequacy of the developed mathematical models. Procedure for selection of mass, geometrical and design parameters of the three-unit articulated trains has been used by the Association of International Carriers of Ukraine for the development and service test of articulated train pre-production models and State Road Transport Research Institute ("Derzhavtotransndiproekt").
