The thesis is devoted to the problems of legal regulation of slavery in America of the early period. The peculiarities of development of legislation on slavery in Britain's America are shown and the legal status of people who were in temporary and lifelong slavery are investigated. The legal aspects of the process of establishment and development of the institutions of slavery in the USA of the colonial period are studied.
