Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to investigation of the spectral luminescent characteristics of complex oxide compounds, specifically of double phosphate crystals of the one-, two- and three-valent metals with the molecular anion P2O74- (Zn2-xMnxР2O7o H2O (n = 0, 1, 5; х = 0-2) and АAl(In)P2O7 (А = Na, K, Cs)), both undoped and doped with Manganese and Chromium ions (Mn, Cr), and to the construction of spatial models and energy schemes of the corresponding luminescence centers. The luminescence spectra, its excitation and decay kinetics, the thermostimulated luminescence curves, spectra of the Raman scattering and of the infrared light absorption are investigated in the research. Spectra, radiation intensity and crystal structure under the influence of the composition makeup, impurity concentrations and temperature (in the 4.2 - 500 K range) were explored. Theoretical calculations of the electronic crystal structure were made too. On basis of the comparative analysis of spectral and kinetic characteristics and of theoretical calculations some conclusions about the origin of intrinsic luminescence and about the peculiarities of electronic oscillatory interactions in the double phosphate crystals' admixture luminescence centers have been made. The construction of the centers, which are formed on the basis of admixture ions, is described; some models of the spatial and energy structure of such radiation centers are proposed.
