Essay

This dissertation reveals a systematized study of English anthropospheric innovations actualizing anthropic existence dimensions. Determined neologisms have been examined in terms of meaning and form, linguistic and extralinguistic factors, paradigmatic features, participation in word building and phrase building. A more accurate definition of "neologism" has been worked out and a new typology of neologisms has been provided. The research focuses on ways, means and patterns of language enrichment with anthropospheric innovations. A coherent paradigm of linguistic and extralinguistic factors promotes adaptation of new words in the language system exposing correlation between vocabulary development and main social and cultural tendencies within modern English-speaking societies. This investigation of neologisms actualizing dimensions of anthropic existence allows identifying conceptual and notional clusters, productive word building elements and models that provide for the spawn of extensive word building, semantic, thematic paradigms of English neologisms. Key words: anthropospheric innovation, neoverb, neoseme, neomorph, neophrase, form variation, paradigm, linguistic factor, extralinguistic factor.
