Essay

The thesis colligates the data of a complex clinicoimmunologic examination of 162 patients with chronic polyposis ethmoiditis (CPE). It has been ascertained that patients with relapse of active polyposis in paranasal sinuses are observed to have persistent chlamydial and herpetic infection. Bacteriological examination has detected disbiotic abnormalities of nasal mucosa. Patients with CPE have shown disturbances of systemic immunity: T-lymphocytopenia, reduction in circulating CD4+-lymphocytes quantity, lowering of immunoregulatory index CD4/CD8, FAM indices inhibition, disimmunoglobulinemia. Reduction in alfa and gama-IFN load was observed, as well as imbalance between cytokine content in blood with proinflammatory (IL - 1, IL - 2) and antiinflammatory (IL - 4, IL -10) properties occurred, which conformed with the time of the disease relapse. Inclusion of the combination of subalin and immunomax into the treatment complex for patients with CPE has been pathogenetically validated.
