The object is the process of economic risk management of a railway transport enterprise. The aim is development of theoretical and methodological regulations and practical recommendations for economic risk management of a railway transport enterprise based on improved evaluation methods. The methods are logical and historical, analysis and synthesis of results, grouping, correlation and regressive analysis, portfolio analysis, a systematic approach, graphics methods. The novelty is development of theoretical and methodological bases of economic risk management at a railway transport enterprise aimed at higher management efficiency owing to modern risk estimation methods. The results are improved methods of economic risk estimation, which, unlike existing ones, is supplemented by specific regressive methods of analysis and takes into account specific activity of a railway transport enterprise; theoretical principles and methods of a qualitative estimation of economic risk for a railway transport enterprise, which are being extended due to the application of risk maps, which makes it possible to analyze the available economic security of the railway enterprise and identify its weaknesses; management system of a rail transport enterprise, which, unlike existing ones, is supplemented by an economic risk management subsystem through combination of functional, structural and information models of management that will reduce the impact of internal and external threats and ensure economic security of an industrial enterprise.
