Khoroshkovataya O. Immediate and follow up results of cardiovascular complications treatment in the patients with Marfan’s syndrome

Dissertation is dedicated to the problem of surgical treatment of cardiovascular complications in the patients with Marfan’s syndrome. Possibilities to improve the results of operations in the patients with Marfan’s syndrome were studied. Treatment of cardiovascular complications in the patients with Marfan’s syndrome was performed by 223 patients. In 164 patients with this diagnosis operations were performed. In 59 other patients of the studied group natural history of the disease was learned. Peculiarities of the remove period in patients with Marfan's syndrome, who were operated upon with the use of a different methods, were studied. Causes of complications in the remove period and of lethal events were analyzed. Indices of survival of operated upon patients with Marfan's syndrome were studied. Obtained data evidence, that surgical treatment of Marfan's syndrome is characterized by good remove results and that it permit to improve patients survival and quality of their life.
