Essay

The object of research is the effect of radiation of electromagnetic waves from solitary and coupled dielectric resonators with active regions. The aims of the research are the building of the linear model for cavities and development on its basis of the numerical algorithms. Methods of boundary-value problems of electromagnetics are used. It has been found that threshold gains of supermodes can be lowered in photonic molecule. Analytical connection between mode threshold, Q-factor and overlap coefficient has been found. Deformation of a disk to a spiral cavity improves emission directivity. Application area is Theoretical and Applied Electromagnetics.
