Objekt: Theodor Storm's short stories and poetry texts. Aim: definition and analysis of the basic principles of formation and development of the T.Storm in the context of poetic realism formation in Germany. Methods: biographical, comparative-historical, psychological, genetic. Scientific novelty: this is the first attempt in the Ukrainian literary studies of complex stady and analysis of T.Storm's literary legasy, an attempt to systematize the artist's works, study of the literary legacy in the context of the all-European literary process.
