Essay

Thesis deals with research of the development process of legislative norms for protection of forests on Ukrainian lands in the period from the X to the beginning of XX century. The influence of religious and mythological conceptions, norms of the common law on the process of formation of the forest legislation were shown. Norms of forest protection and crafts related to them were researched in the ancient monuments of law Ruska Pravda, Charters of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Forest Regulations of 1567, Soborne Ulozhennya of 1649, "The Laws that the Nation of Russia is Judged" go to the court in 1743, Russian and Austrian Imperial Legislations.
