Essay

The thesis pioneers the system research of particular features of national studies of architectural and art heritage formation in Ukraine in the period from the Middle Ages to the Early Modern period in the context of the historical science development in the period from the second half of the XIX century to the beginning of the XX century. The research was fulfilled on the basis of a wide range of published and archive sources. The scientific social and art factors are found that cause the development of such research. Also the tendencies of these factors are defined, as well as the contribution to the national historical and cultural development.
