Essay

Thesis is devoted to a justification of theoretical and experimental finding of probability density functions of acoustic signals and their functional transformations by a method of orthogonal representations. Representations of probability density functions in orthogonal series on classical orthogonal polynomials are systematized and added. The new form of representation as series on the initial moments is offered. Mistakes of approximation and probabilistic characteristics of an estimation of probability density function by orthogonal representations are determined. Probability density functions of typical models of acoustic fluctuation signals and also noise of knee joints are found.
