Khnykina O. Semantic, Communicative and Pragmatic Peculiarities of the Utterances Expressing Accusation in English.

The basic semantico-syntactic models and semantic types of the utterances of accusation have been distinguished. The analysis of pragmatic characteristics has made it possible to single out direct and indirect speech acts of accusation, which are regarded as complex polyillocutive speech acts. The main strategies and tactics of communicants in two types of discourse of accusation marked by sociolingual factors have been highlighted. Lexical means expressing accusation form lexico-semantic macrofield of accusation, which consists of two microfields: of legal/non-legal accusation and four lexico-grammatical classes of words: verbs, nouns, adjectives, adverbs expressing different aspects of accusation. Structural and semantic peculiarities of the word-combinations expressing accusation have been analyzed.
