3. Objects of the investigation - harmfulness of the complex jucking insect pests and mites that decrease productivity of the black currant Ribis nigrum and make worse guality of berries. Purpose - improving elements of integrated protection system of the black currant from jucking pests Hyperomyzus lactucae Kalt., Cryptomyzus ribis L., Aphis grossulariae Kаlt., Cecidophyopsis ribis Westw., Tetranychus urticae Koch. in the Central Forest zone in Ukraine. Methods - generally aecepted in entomology, plant protection and special ones: the route inspections, field and laboratory experiments, statistical method. Scientific novelty - The author has made an assessment of the resistance of 16 European black currant varieties to suctorial phytophages and established the level of their harmfulness. She has also developed the way for and the model of phonological prognostication of 10 stages of the organogenesis in European black currant as well as the rates of dominant suctorial phytophages development depending on the meteorological conditions. The author also succeeded in establishing the effects of different levels of mineral nutrition, foliar nutrition with microelements and complex fertilizers on the quantity of suctorial pests as well as on the plant tolerance. The paper highlights the drastic change in the content of active substances in leaves and berries of European black currant (chlorophyll, ascorbic acid, sugars, acids, dry matter) depending on different levels in the number of suctorial phytophages on plants. The author has improved the technique for evaluating the number of suctorial pests on plant, developed single 9-grade scales and studied the effectiveness of the biologically oriented elements of the integrated system for protecting European black currant against suctorial pests. The branch is agriculture, plant protection.
