The dissertation is devoted to determine the main features of Ukrainian banking system functioning under the modern conditions, estimate influence of financial globalization on the banking system development. There are considered essence of the financial globalization, the main levels and forms of banking systems interaction were separated, modern tendencies of financial sphere globalization were determined. The foreign experience of banking system development under conditions of integration was studied; its regularities, advantages and risks were determined. The particular features of the functioning of Ukrainian banking system under conditions of financial globalization were studied, main problems and contradictions of its development were determined. The main factors of the banking system competitiveness and directions of its increase were offered. Economic models for estimation quantitative influence of financial globalization on banking system development and economic growth were developed. The content of global financial instability was studded, and main directions of banking system efficiency and stability increase were searched.
