The thesis is devoted to the development of theoretical and methodical principles and practical recommendations for the risk management on the petroleum refinery (enterprises). The paper reveals the nature and the significance of risks on the enterprises. It represents the methodical approaches to risk assessment and the three-level system of risk assessment. The research touches upon the improvement of the risk management process and the necessity of taking into account the risk factor in taking management decisions. The classification of risks is also given in the work.The thesis analyses the development of petroleum refinery. It highlights the probability of the occurrence and the impact of current risks and the factors that influence the activity of petroleum refinery. The research shows the scientific approach to the formation of risk management system and points out the organizational-economic model of risk management on the enterprises. The program of risk management for petroleum refinery is shown in the thesis.
