Essay

The dissertation work is devoted to study of the manifestation of spatial modulation, low-dimensional structure and size effects in the optical and spectral properties of the ferroics with an alkylammonium cation. The specific manifestations of the incommensurate spatial modulation in the [N(CH3)4]2Zn0,8Ni0,2Cl4 solid solutions and n-[NH3C3H7]2CdCl4 crystals were studied. The nature of radiation effects in such materials was investigated. The nanocomposites based on [NH2(C2H5)2]2CuCl4 and [N(C2H5)4]2CoCl2Br2 nanocrystals in polymer matrix were obtained. Their spectral and physical properties were investigated. The specific manifestation of the size effects was revealed.
