Essay

Research focuses on cognitive and communicative peculiarities of noun-composites in Modern German. Their nominative structure is analyzed from the perspective of cognitive process of nomination, the frame models of conceptual structure of the noun-composites are suggested, the generalized complex frame model of concept is worked out. The meaning of cognitive and discursive context in the interpretation of the noun-composites is highlighted, their role in the realization of textual-discursive categories: cohesion, coherence, informativity, intertextuality, addressness, expressiveness and evaluation in German media discourse is revealed.
