Essay

The thesis dedicated to studdy of the isolates of HIV-1, that circulate on territory of Ukraine, and also some features of transmission of virus from the HIV-infected mother to the child. Main subtypes which circulate in the regions of Ukraine with the high level of HIV distribution were established. The high degrees of cognation of the studdied isolates of virus to the isolates of HIV-1, got from Kazakhstan, Georgia, Russia, Estonia and Czech republic were set. Though subtypical structure of HIV-1 epidemics in investigational regions changed in comparing to 2000 year, within one subtype isolates of HIV-1 remain family enough to each other. A presence on territory of Ukraine of isolates of HIV, that were resistant to antiretroviral therapy was first certain. The critical periods of vertical transmission of HIV were set.
