Bogdan A. Groundwork for Production of Agricultural Products in Ukraine in the Context of the Requirements of the European Union Laws.

The dissertation is devoted to a comprehensive and thorough study of problems of the legal groundwork for production of agricultural products in Ukraine in the context of the EU requirements, revelation of peculiarities and extent of compliance of the national regulation with the requirements of the European Union laws. This paper has developed a notion of adaptation of the national agrarian laws, applying to production of agricultural products, to the requirements of the EU laws, defines their features and gives periodization of development of the Ukrainian laws in the field of production of certain types of agricultural products in the context of the requirements of the EU laws. A comparative legal analysis of the Ukrainian national laws and the EU laws with regard to production of certain types of agricultural products, namely milk and dairy products, sugar, grain, meat and meat products, has been performed. An in-depth analysis of discrepancies between the provisions of the national laws and requirements of the EU laws has been performed. Propositions regarding improvement of applicable Ukrainian laws in the field of production of agricultural products in compliance with the requirements of the European Union laws have been laid down.
