Tyshko D. Etiopathogenetic grounding of curative-preventive measures at masticatory muscles' parafunctioning

The thesis is dedicated to aspects of improving the diagnostics and study of pathogenetic mechanisms of masticatory muscles' parafunctioning development, by the way of etio-pathogenetic complex of curative-preventive measures development. There has been performed a clinical-laboratory examination of 118 patients aged from 19 till 66 years with parafunctioning masticatory muscles. The predisposing, triggering and enhancing etiologic causative factors of masticatory muscles' parafunctioning development have been detected. There have been introduced clinical-diagnostic criteria of masticatory muscles parafunctioning as well as a program of complex investigation of patients with parafunctions. The main treatment of patients with parafunctioning masticatory muscles included not only application of such corrective methods as an occlusive dental surface selective polishing and application of occlusive stumps, but also general somatic diseases treatment . The performed examination provided for establishing the leading etiologic factors in masticatory muscles' parafunctioning pathogenesis. There has been discovered an etiopathogenetic scheme of treatment and prevention of masticatory muscles' parafucntioning, which is a more effective scheme in comparison with the traditional one.
