Dissertation is devoted to the study of clinical and immunological features of recurrent herpes simplex virus type 1 and 2 infection and to the study the features of the immunodeficiency forming in these patients. Conducted the clinical and immunological researches allowed to find out in patients with recurrent herpes simplex virus type 1 and 2 infection the clinical and laboratory criteria of the immunodeficiency changes forming. There were fixed the significant changes of the immune system condition: decreasing of the phagocyte absorption capacity, their oxygen- restoration potential - stimulated NST-test, decreasing of INF-alfa synthesis and increasing of INF-gamma synthesis in the serum, decreasing of CD8+-cells, CD16/56+- cells amount with the simultaneous increasing of CD4+-lymphocytes, and also increasing expression of the "early" and "late" lymphocytes activation markers. Examined the variants of gene polymorphism, that encodes LMP2, it was found, that the Arg/Нis is the mostly nucleotide frequency of the allelic variants of LMP2 in patients with recurrent herpes simplex virus type 1 and 2 infection; the Нis/Нis was found in patients with immunodeficiency changes, which was not found in healthy controls and in patients with recurrent herpes simplex virus type 1 and 2 infection without symptoms of immunodeficiency changes. These results are able to recommend for practical application the early diagnostic immunological criteria for immunodeficiency changes, determination of their pathogenetic type and risk of the autoimmune complications of HSV 1/2 types development
