Essay

The study is focused on research of microbial communities of Antarctic Region terrestrial biotopes, their resistance to Cu2+ ions and interactions with copper compounds. It has been shown for the first time that copper-resistant bacteria are wiedly occurred in Western Antarctic Region, are polyresistant to toxic metals and interact with soluble and unsoluble copper compounds. Results testify to their ability to be important factors of migration and transformation of copper compounds in Antarctic Region.
