Essay

The object is transient processes in a cavity filled with time-varying and dispersive medium. The purpose is investigation of transient processes in a cavity filled with time-varying and dispersive medium and electrodynamic characteristics of that cavity. Evolutionary Approach to Electromagnetics in Time Domain (Modal Basis Method), solution of differential and integral equations system methods, spectral analysis methods were applied. The new results are the following: analytical expressions for electric and magnetic field strength for some time dependence of constitutive parameters of the medium are obtained for the first time; time dependences of cavity eigenfrequencies are determined; formation of one, two and series of radiopulses by the permittivity control is exposed; the scheme of evolutionary equations solution and analytical expression obtaining in case of arbitrary dispersive medium with positive and negative refractive index is proposed; general properties of transient processes in a cavity filled with time-varying and dispersive medium and electrodynamic characteristics of that cavity are determined on the basis if the obtained analytical expressions. Application extent: the results are planned to be applied. Application field: radiophysics and electronics.
